SB 508
Requires that hospitals, ambulatory surgical centers, and mobile surgical facilities establish an evidenced-based policy concerning the safe lifting of patients by their employees. Provides criteria concerning the policy to include, but not be limited to, using data to evaluate the risk of injuries to patients and employees and determining the appropriateness of alternative strategies for lifting and handling patients, etc.
