Safe Lifting Excellence Award – Hospital Sector The Safe Lifting Portal has presented its Safe Lifting Leadership Award to Gundersen Lutheran Health System of La Crosse, Wisconsin. The award was given in recognition of Gundersen Lutheran’s outstanding accomplishments in safe patient handling and caregiver injury prevention. The award was given for the Chris Jensen Center’s outstanding accomplishments in safe patient handling and caregiver injury prevention. New Portal Section for Vendor Fairs The Safe Lifting Portal has announced a new section providing guidelines regarding how to host vendor fairs. Safe patient handling committee members who are deliberating about which lift vendor to recommend are encouraged to review the guidelines and accompanying evaluation criteria. |
