- I believe that caregivers will participate in safe patient handling initiatives only if there is adequate and conveniently located assistive devices. High census hurried-ness adds to the thoughtlessness when handling patients, thus causing injuries.
- I believe NIOSH made their decision based on evidence available. There is also no question that nursing is routinely exceeding the 35ib. recommended limit. I believe if we could get nurses to comply with this recommendation, we would see a dramatic decrease in the number of lift associated injuries.
- The studies are clear. Let's trust the data.
