How to Convert Your Facility Into a "Safe Lifting Environment"
As a general rule of thumb, any safe lifting/caregiver injury prevention program requires three essential components in order to be successful.
- Equipment, such as patient lifts and transfer devices for the moving of all patients, including bariatric
- Training, specifically regarding the handling of bariatric patients.
- Caregiver Participation, including obtaining administration and employee participation.
The "Safe Lifting Environment" campaign decals and associated materials are designed to assist you in achieving optimum caregiver participation in your efforts to promote injury prevention.
You are free to use any or all of the following "sample" safe lifting documents in deploying the campaign within your facility or organization.
